Fort Lauderdale Area Beaches

Here is a list of area beaches and their features!
Fort Lauderdale:
This beach is happening. Located at A1A and Las Olas Blvd. This has all the beach bars, hotels and is at the center of Fort Lauderdale. Lots of tourists. But cool spots like Hugh Taylor Birch State Park just to the North and the International Swimming Hall of Fame to the South. To get away from the crowds, go a little North by the state park. Here's us at that very spot.
Dania Beach
Located just South of Fort Lauderdale and East of the airport, this beach is a gem. The pictures on my site were taken here. It has the island feel tucked away from the people. One downside to this beach is the sand. It's more crushed shell than soft sand, but it's a trade off to the people.

Hollywood Beach
Just South of Dania Beach is Hollywood. Or as some people say "Holly-Weird". This beach reminds me of Venice in Cali. All walks of life on the boardwalk. This area is more of the tourist, hotels and beach bars. But a great vibe. One of my favorite as Margaritaville is on this beach! This resort is great. Pools, restaurants, bars and even a beachside venue for music! Hint: Go to the Landshark Bar & Grill and request a table at the front. It's worth the wait and the view.

Lauderdale-By-The-Sea
I hesitate to tell anyone this. Like it's my only secret, but it's how I feel about this beach. Located North of Fort Lauderdale, the sand is so soft and more of a local feel. There's is a small town square with small shops and restaurants. Parking is easy. For a couple bucks you can go out on Anglin Pier to take in the view or fish 24 hours a day. THIS is my favorite beach.
